Pickles & Potter was formerly a Deli in Leeds city centre but has since become Pickles & Potter Kitchen, a catering service that delivers quality, locally sourced homemade food.
The owner (as photographed covered by vegetables on page two) wanted a menu created which conveyed both a sense of class and quirkiness.
My response to this brief was firstly to come up with an interesting layout. I opted for square pages, each one folding out of another meaning the design had to work from a multitude of angles.
The pages themselves emphasised the company's connection with nature, with a slightly punk and kitsch aesthetic achieved through the overly ornate gold frames around photos of the food. The client was extremely happy with the outcome as it reflected both herself and her business perfectly.
